A Disney street art trail comes to 5 Belgian cities

To celebrate the launch of Disney + on September 15, five renowned Belgian street artists have designed frescoes in five major Belgian cities. 

The street art route can be admired in different cities of the country. From Charleroi, a city where urban art is already very present to the ardent city, Liège, where an artist has invited herself on a wall in the hyper Centre. From Ghent, artistic hub par excellence, where the fresco can be admired just in front of the university in Brussels, where the result can be discovered in the Dansaert district; as well as in Antwerp, capital of Belgian fashion.

The five artists were inspired by the various iconic entertainment brands to discover on Disney +: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.

1. Ghent

In Ghent, the artist Kitsune Jolene was inspired by “Project Marvel Heroes”. In this Disney + Original, the heroes in question are children and teens who dedicate their lives to selfless acts of bravery and generosity in their neighborhood. 

2. Antwerp

Fans can't wait to discover “The Mandalorian”, a Disney + Original series anchored in the universe of the Star Wars saga. Artist Toon Van Ishoven has chosen to represent a giant Mandalorian and The Child on the Leopoldplein, in the heart of the city. 

3. Brussels

4. Charleroi

In Charleroi, the public will discover a wall painting by artist Smok inspired by the new Disney + Original, Fourchette asks questions. Tinkered with trash, Fourchette, one of the characters in “Toy Story 4”, asks himself plenty of existential questions about love or time. Not to mention the deepest question of all: “Cheese is what? ”He discovers the answers to his questions, and many more, in a series of ten short films.

5. Cork

By creating an organic fresco inspired by the ocean, the Liège artist Whoups has chosen to focus his work on the world of National Geographic. Because it covers 70% of the planet and is home to incredible biodiversity, the ocean is the fascinating subject of much National Geographic content. Disney + subscribers have access to a large library of National Geographic documentaries and films. The opportunity to travel the world without leaving your sofa.
